Bradley Van Winkle Obituary

Bradley C. Van Winkle, 65 of Kirkwood, NY passed away peacefully after losing his battle to ALS on Sunday, December 01, 2019 at The Mercy House in Endicott, NY. He spent his last week of life surrounded by family and friends who loved him dearly. Brad is predeceased by his loving parents, Lt. George and Joan Van Winkle, brother, Lt. Colonel Henry Van Winkle, and sister Victoria Borovicka. He is survived by his loving daughters, Amanda and Brandon Robertson, Huntsville, AL and Jennifer Van Winkle, Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Logan Alexandres, Huntsville, AL, Fredrick Arthur III and Jayden Van Winkle, Tucson, AZ; his brothers Leon and Joan Van Winkle, Conklin, NY and Roderick and Barbara Van Winkle, Vestal, NY along with several nieces and nephews.

Brad was a loving, caring person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was selfless and left a loving impression on everyone he met. He loved his family and close friends, going to car races, casinos, and his work family at BAE. Brad will be missed and remembered by all he knew.

A private burial will be held at the Kirkwood Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may donate to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Association (www.als.org) or The Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKinley Ave. Endicott, NY in loving memory of Brad. A Special Thank You to the staff at the Mercy House & Hospice for the excellent care and compassion he received in his final days.
