Franklin Engler Obituary

Frank E. Engler, 73, of Binghamton went to be with the angels on Sunday, January 5, 2020.  He was predeceased by his parents Franklin and Alice (Foster) Engler.  Frank is survived by his sister Joan (Thomas) Gates, children Tammy (Jon) Nash, Sean Pratt, 4 grandchildren, Sarah (Damon) Maricle, James, Thomas and Graham, niece Jodie Gates and great nieces and nephews Jannel, Blake, Brock, Brooke and Thomas.  Frank looked forward to and thoroughly enjoyed and loved his visits form his grandsons.  Frank was very happy to attend Sarah's college graduation and wedding.  He treasured all her childhood milestones and continues to be proud of her.  Frank had many passions and interest in his life: hunting, fishing, boating and photography.  He looked forward to having cookouts by the water.  Frank was a collector of M&M memorabilia and diecast cars.  He loved music, bright colors and dark chocolate.  Frank lived each day to the fullest and his day was complete when he could make someone laugh.  He loved unconditionally and always saw the best in each situation.  Later in life he loved  "Lucy" from "Good ol Peanuts", Elvira and his sweet chocolate friend who enjoyed music and movies.  Our thanks go out to Dr. Parambil and staff from Cleveland Clinic and Lourdes Hospice for their compassionate care.  There are no words to describe how he felt about Roz, Sherry, Natalie and Kim.  They are truly angels.  He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.  He loved angels and said "when you feel a breeze or the sun's rays on your cheek" it will be his angel reminding you he is near.  Donations in Franks honor may be made to Friends of Salt Springs Park, PO Box 541, Montrose, PA 18801. A Celebration of his Life will be on January 31, 2020 at 2:00pm at the Spot Diner. Please come with a memory to share.
