Johnny J. Knewasser, 75, of Windsor, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Ideal Senior Living Center. He is survived by his daughters, Amy (Jim) Mercik and Leann (Anthony) Sepulveda and his four grandchildren, Abigail, Gavin, Olivia, and Marcus. John is preceded in death by his parents, Jehial and Gladys Knewasser and his granddaughter Rebecca Mercik. John was born September 1, 1946. He graduated from Windsor High School in 1965 and went on to SUNY Morrisville. He then continued his education at Western Michigan University to pursue his love of auto body repair and earned his bachlors in Automotive Engineering. He was the proud owner of Kirkwood Automotive for over 40 years. He made lifelong friends through his work. His other love was living at White Birch Lake where his family was one of the original owners on the lake. The family will receive friends at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc. 137 Robinson St., Binghamton on Tuesday, June 7 from 10 - 11am. A funeral service will be held at 11am. The family would like to thank the staff at Ideal Senior Living Center for all of their excellent care of John.
