Marlene Y. (Palombi) Balchikonis

Marlene Yvonne Balchikonis, also known as “Chief,” to her adoring husband, Mom to her 3 Children, Yaya to her 9 grandchildren, Aunt Marlene to her nieces and nephews and “The Queen of Larceny” to anyone who ran across her at the Euchre table.  To know Marlene was to truly know love. Her one true passion in life was her family. Marlene would light up every time a grandchild would walk in the door to visit. They would in turn immediately give Yaya a hug first thing. Mom absolutely loved our annual family vacations when we were all together in communal living for the week! She also stated that she is coming back as an Olympic swimmer, so get your eyes and hearts open and ready for her!
Marlene was predeceased by her parents Virginia and Augusto Palombi; in-laws Stanley and Sue Balchikonis; infant son Donald; brother-in-law Stanley Balchikonis.  
Marlene is survived by her loving husband Donald; her children Nicole and Joe Pauline, their children Joseph, Natalie, Benjamin, Samuel, Nicholas; Chris and Rebecca Balchikonis, their children Christopher and Cecilia; Cynthia Balchikonis and Jared Raimo and their daughters Olive and Piper.  Also survived by her brother Vincent and Mary Palombi and their children; brother-in-law Brian and Joan Balchikonis and children. 
Services will be private at Marlene's request.  Memorial contributions in Marlene's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
