Dorothy Crane

Dorothy (Johnson) Crane, 92, Binghamton, NY passed away at Elizabeth Church Manor on October 10, 2017.  Dorothy was predeceased by her Husband, John, her parents, Fred and Zelma Johnson and her brother Kenneth.  She is survived by her son, John and his wife Barbara; her Granddaughters, Brittany and Caitlin (Joel) Decker, her Great-Grandchildren, Addison and Cameron; Step-Grandchildren, Jack and Christina Williams.  Dorothy is also survived by her special niece, Sally Dribnack and special nephew, William (Karen) Johnson.
Dorothy started working at an early age at her father’s business, Master Cleaners.  She and her brother, Kenny, subsequently took over the business and they ran it until her retirement in 1994.  The only thing that got Dorothy to retire was her granddaughters, whom she loved dearly.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Elizabeth Church Manor, 3rd Floor, who provided excellent care, comfort and compassion during Dorothy’s stay.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 11:00AM at Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, 137 Robinson St., Binghamton, NY.  The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 10:00AM until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery.  Expressions of sympathy in Dorothy’s memory may be made to Fairview United Methodist Church, 252 Robinson Street, Binghamton, NY 13904.
